DAY TO DAY ITINERARY
Day 1 | Arrival in Nairobi
Arrive in Nairobi and transfer to your luxury hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, resting after your flight or enjoying a relaxed dinner before your safari begins.
Day 2 | Nairobi to the Maasai Mara
Transfer to Wilson Airport for your flight to the Masai Mara. On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your chosen camp for lunch. Later, head out on an afternoon game drive to begin your safari in one of Africa’s most celebrated wildlife regions.
Day 3 | Maasai Mara Safari
Enjoy a full day of game viewing in the Masai Mara. Morning and afternoon drives reveal the richness of this ecosystem, from elephant herds and big cats to giraffes, buffalo, and expansive, golden plains.
Day 4 | Maasai Mara Safari
A second full day in the Mara gives you time to explore more deeply and enjoy the rhythm of safari life. Optional experiences such as a hot air balloon safari or a Maasai cultural visit may be included based on your preferences.
Day 5 | Maasai Mara to Serengeti
After breakfast, continue your East African journey into Tanzania. Arrive in the Serengeti and settle into your lodge or camp before an afternoon activity. The Serengeti offers a different scale and atmosphere, with immense plains and classic safari scenery.
Day 6 | Serengeti Safari
Spend the day on safari in the Serengeti, where resident wildlife and prolific predator sightings make for exceptional year-round game viewing. Enjoy a leisurely lunch and the comfort of camp between activities.
Day 7 | Serengeti Safari
Another day in the Serengeti allows for a more immersive experience. Your guide may focus on predator action, specific wildlife interests, or simply the beauty of the landscape and the freedom to explore without rushing.
Day 8 | Serengeti to Ngorongoro / Karatu
Today you travel onward to the Ngorongoro region, typically via a scenic road transfer through changing landscapes. Arrive at your lodge in Karatu or on the crater rim area and enjoy a quieter, more elevated atmosphere after the plains of the Serengeti.
Day 9 | Ngorongoro Crater Experience
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a remarkable day of wildlife viewing. The crater floor offers one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa, including lion, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, and, with luck, black rhino. Return to your lodge in the afternoon.
Day 10 | Departure
After breakfast, transfer for your onward journey, whether via Arusha, Kilimanjaro, or another connection depending on your travel plans
